Shaldon Road Church was purpose built in 1975 and is situated on the main road from Newton Abbot and Shaldon, which divides two large estates, where most of the Church families live. There are 30 members, of whom about 25 regularly attend Sunday morning worship. Our priority is to present Jesus as our loving Saviour, and to give a warm welcome to all newcomers and visitors.
Though most of our membership are aged 50+, we have a small group of young people ‘Allsorts’ who meet weekly on Tuesday evenings during term time, and a Parent / Toddler group meeting two mornings a week, also during term time. There is a well-established group which meets weekly to pray for Healing and Wholeness. We consider this to be a very important part of the ministry of the church. There is a great opportunity for mission in the area, working with all age groups, and we look forward positively, believing that God will provide the resources needed for new work. We are always open and willing to discuss ideas for the future which will help us to reach those who have not yet heard God’s message. |
