Ashburton Methodist Church is a friendly church with most age groups represented. Many members do not come from Methodist backgrounds and there is a diversity of opinions but thankfully no divisions or groupings. The large church building is much loved by Church members who are exploring plans for its development.

 Current activities are:

Bible studies

Weekly Saturday coffee mornings with Fairtrade stall on 2nd, 3rd & 4th weeks

Services in residential homes (2)

Contact with local primary and comprehensive school.

The relationship with the other churches in the town is good and there are some combined services and activities under the banner of Churches Together in Ashburton

The church is based in a town which proudly displays its historic past by keeping alive ancient traditions and customs. Ashburton is a much sought after place to live, giving many opportunities to meet new people. The church building offers space for several groups and clubs from the town to meet.
